Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius kept a clean sheet against Sunderland on Saturday – and the club’s supporters were thrilled with his performance on Twitter.
The Reds completed a 2-0 victory in the Premier League at Anfield as they climbed to the top table, but Chelsea will return to the summit if they beat Tottenham at Stamford Bridge.
Divock Origi and James Milner scored second-half goals to give Jurgen Klopp’s side the three points, but Philippe Coutinho was stretchered off in the 34th minute in some discomfort.
Karius, 23, has now kept two consecutive clean sheets and is beginning to settle after a tough start at Anfield.
Liverpool fans believe that their goalkeeper was fantastic against Sunderland and is improving every game.

Karius played outstanding today, made some crucial saves. Only downside is Coutinho's injury. Hope he isn't out for long, need him badly.

Karius made a number of smart saves against Sunderland and proved that he is comfortable in possession, but many supporters were asking for Simon Mignolet to be the club’s number one goalkeeper.
Klopp signed Karius in the summer to challenge for the number one jersey and his performances have begun to improve after a shaky start.
The German has now kept four clean sheets in nine appearances and he has emerged as the first-choice goalkeeper.
He completed a summer move to the Merseyside club from German side Mainz, where he kept an impressive 32 clean sheets in 96 appearances for the Bundesliga side.
