Adam Lallana marked his 100th game for Liverpool with a victory – and the club’s supporters were thrilled with his performance on Twitter.
The England international played 79 minutes in the club’s 2-1 home win against West Brom in the Premier League on Saturday.
The result means Liverpool climbed to second in the table and are only behind leaders Arsenal on goal difference.
Sadio Mane and Philippe Coutinho scored first-half goals to put the Reds in control, but Gareth McAuley set up a nervous finish by scoring when Lallana had left the pitch.
Lallana, 28, was the only change to Jurgen Klopp’s team as he replaced Daniel Sturridge in the starting line-up.
Liverpool fans applauded their midfielder and believe he is crucial to the club’s strong start to the season.

Lallana made a huge contribution from the bench in the club’s previous match against Manchester United, after being eased back from a groin injury suffered on international duty.
The midfielder has been a consistent feature in the Liverpool side this season and justified his recall to the team against West Brom.
The former Southampton man celebrated his 100th game with the Merseyside club and he has become a crucial player under current manager Klopp.
He has now scored 16 goals and supplied 15 assists since his move to Anfield and is a firm favourite with fans.
