Philippe Coutinho scored another fantastic goal for Brazil in a World Cup qualifier – and Liverpool supporters expressed their delight on Twitter with his heroics.

The Reds attacker starred in a comfortable 3-0 victory against Argentina in the South American qualifier.

Coutinho, 24, opened the scoring in the first-half with a phenomenal strike from outside the box.

The playmaker drifted in from the left hand side and struck an unstoppable shot into the far top corner, something the Liverpool supporters have become used to recently.

Neymar and Paulinho secured the three points for Brazil with their goals and it means they remain top of their qualifying group.

Liverpool fans praised Coutinho’s fantastic goal and are desperate for him to remain at Anfield.

Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Liverpool are currently top of the Premier League during the international break and Coutinho has played a starring role in their success this season.

Jurgen Klopp has used a dangerous front three of Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Coutinho, with the latter given a free licence to drift inside from the left wing.

The attacker has made 12 appearances in all competitions this campaign, scoring six goals and supplying six assists.

Coutinho can also be used as a central midfielder and has filled in there several times already this season.

The Merseyside fans have voiced their concern about leaving their star man and fear he could follow in the footsteps of Luis Suarez, who left Anfield in 2014 for Spanish giants Barcelona.

In other Liverpool news, their starlet produced a great performance on international duty.
