Liverpool fans reacted to the news on Twitter that Philippe Coutinho has been named the Reds’ Player of the Month for October.

The Brazilian has been in sublime form and was once again a pivotal player during Liverpool’s thrilling 4-2 victory against Crystal Palace on Saturday.

The “Little Magician” scored one goal in four appearances throughout October and has already notched up five in total this season, as well as picking up the Man of the Match award for his performance last weekend.

Liverpool signed Coutinho in 2013 for £8.5 million from Inter Milan and he has since gone on to be named the club’s Player of the Season for the last two successive seasons.

He is one of the club’s most important players and is crucial to Jurgen Klopp’s pressing formation, as part of a destructive attacking quartet.

Alongside Roberto Firmino, Adam Lallana and Sadio Mane, Coutinho has shown creativity, skill and threat when going forward and has been a consistently high performer.

The Reds currently sit in third position in the Premier League table, though they are level on points with Arsenal and Manchester City at the top.

Coutinho is expected to feature in Liverpool’s next clash against Watford on Sunday afternoon as the Reds hope to make it eight wins out of 11.
