Liverpool fans celebrated on Twitter after their side moved to the top of the table on Sunday afternoon.

Jurgen Klopp’s team thrashed Watford 6-1 at Anfield with another outstanding attacking display that enabled them to leapfrog Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City.

Three goals in the first half put Liverpool on their way before Klopp’s side added a further three in the second half to seal an emphatic win.

A Sadio Mane brace and goals from Emre Can, Roberto Firmino, Philippe Coutinho, Sadio Mane and Giorginio Wijnaldum secured a third consecutive home win for the Merseysiders.

Liverpool have lost just once in the Premier League this season and that was way back in September when they suffered a hugely disappointing 2-0 defeat against Burnley.

Since then, they have been in fantastic form and have won 10 of their last 12 games in all competitions, as well as recording more than four goals against their opponents in the league on five occasions already throughout the campaign.

Here is a selection of the messages on Twitter:

In other Liverpool news, fans reacted on Twitter as Giorginio Wijnaldum was left out of the starting line-up against Watford.
