Liverpool fans reacted with delight at the news Jordan Henderson will captain England for the second time as Wayne Rooney will not start on Tuesday night.
England take on Spain in an international friendly but Rooney will not start after he was forced to miss training on Monday due to a minor injury.
Liverpool skipper Henderson will step in as captain once again, after he wore the armband for the first time in England’s 0-0 draw against Slovenia.

Henderson has started every Premier League game for Liverpool this season and has been in excellent form alongside Giorginio Wijnaldum, Emre Can and Adam Lallana in midfield.
He’s started the last four fixtures for England and picked up the Man of the Match award in their recent 2-0 victory against Malta in October.
Rooney’s absence is just one of a number of players who will be out of the clash after Harry Kane was released from the squad on Sunday to return to Tottenham to carry out separate training as part of a pre-arranged agreement.
