Danny Ings continued his scoring run for Liverpool’s reserves against Bradford at the weekend – and Reds fans took to Twitter to state that he is now firmly knocking on Jurgen Klopp’s door.
The Merseysiders thrashed Bradford 5-0 in a behind-closed-doors clash which saw two goals from Ings, as well as a James Milner penalty alongside a Emre Can strike and cool finish from rookie forward Yan Dhanda.
Ings, 24, has been a regular scorer for Liverpool Under-23s this season and bagged a hat-trick in his most recent appearance for the side against Ipswich.
Fans of the Reds were delighted on social media with the one-time capped England international’s continued form in front of goal with many claiming he should now surely be considered by Klopp for the first team.

Ings has made just one substitute appearance for Liverpool in the new campaign, as he made his way off of the bench on the 64th minute during a EFL Cup clash against Derby.
A serious injury suffered last October while playing for Liverpool has prevented him from showcasing his talents at Anfield.
He also currently faces strong competition in the Liverpool squad with Roberto Firmino, Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi also vying for the leading role upfront.
In other Liverpool team news, Rodney Marsh was full of praise on Twitter following Jordan Henderson’s display for England.
