Ovie Ejaria made his first Liverpool start in their 2-1 League Cup win against Tottenham on Tuesday night – and fans took to Twitter to commend his display.
The Merseysiders, who made 11 changes from the weekend, convincingly overcame Spurs in fourth-round clash on Tuesday night to secure a place in Wednesday’s quarter-final draw.
Ejaria played the whole game on the left flank and linked up well with fellow forwards Divock Origi and Daniel Sturridge, who scored both of the Liverpool goals.
It was only the second match in a Liverpool shirt for Ejaria, 18, who made his first competitive appearance against Derby last month.
Supporters were delighted that Jurgen Klopp had given some game time to the teenager, who has made huge strides since joining Liverpool from Arsenal in 2014.
Great performances by TAA, Ejaria and Stewart. Great to see Ings get his legs stretched. All round a good performance form the guys. #LFC
