Liverpool fans have reacted with excitement on Twitter as young trio Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ben Woodburn and Kevin Stewart have committed their futures to the club by signing new contracts.

The exciting youngsters have been rewarded for their promise with new deals which will keep them at the club in the long-term.

“This is really positive news of course, and it’s brilliant we have acted decisively to show our intent with our young players,” Jurgen Klopp told the club’s official website.

“With Kev it is maybe a little different. He is of course established with us now and making a contribution as an important member of our first-team squad.

“Trent spends most of his time with the first team in this moment and is progressing each and every day. Ben is in those earlier stages and has a lot of developing to do still – but wow, what an exciting talent he is.”

17 year-old star Woodburn broke onto the scene during the pre-season campaign when he impressed, scoring two goals against Wigan Athletic and Fleetwood Town and lined up alongside first team stars, Sadio Mane, Emre Can and Roberto Firmino.

He has carried on his impressive form with the under-23s this season and has come through the academy youth ranks after joining the club at the age of six.

Stewart has become a regular first team player and has already made 17 appearances with his most recent coming as a starter in the EFL Cup fourth-round victory against his former club, Tottenham.

Alexander-Arnold is considered one of the brightest young players in Liverpool and he made his competitive debut against Tottenham in the right-back position and fans hope to see him become an understudy to Nathaniel Clyne in due course.
