AC Milan are not interested in signing Mario Balotelli on a permanent deal, Football Insider sources understand.

The controversial Italian striker is due to return to parent club Liverpool in the summer when his season-long loan at Milan ends.

A Liverpool source has told Football Insider that he has no future in Jurgen Klopp's squad and the player's agent Mino Raiola will be tasked with finding him yet another club at the end of the season.

Balotelli is on a season-long loan at Milan, where has scored just three goals in the 16 matches he has played all season due to fitness and form issues.

The Serie A giants have been unimpressed by the 25-year-old and they are not willing to pay anywhere near Liverpool's £16million valuation of the forward.

Liverpool signed Balotelli from Milan for £16million in the summer of 2014 but he had a disastrous season on Merseyside and has fared equally badly back in Italy.
