Liverpool are one of four clubs keen on Monaco sensation Thomas Lemar, according to a report.
French outlet Telefoot claim that the Merseyside club are joined by Juventus, Arsenal and Tottenham in expressing an interest for the 21-year-old.
Bookmakers Sky Bet currently price Spurs at 10/11 as the most likely destination for the attacker ahead of next season, while he is 13/8 to remain with his French club.
However, Telefoot are now reporting that Liverpool are also in the running as Jurgen Klopp looks to improve his squad at Anfield.
Lemar enjoyed a breakout season last year for Monaco as they claimed the Ligue 1 title in style ahead of league rivals Paris Saint-Germain.
The left winger played a huge role in their domestic success and also helped them reach the Champions League semi-finals.
He made 55 appearances across all competitions, scoring 14 goals and supplying 17 assists in return.
Lemar is one of several young talents to emerge from the Monaco side in the past 12 months and is being tipped for the top of European football.
He has now established himself in the senior France international team and has five caps under his belt.
Football Insider verdict:
Liverpool would be making a real statement of intent if they managed to pull off a deal for Monaco’s rising star. The 21-year-old is an extremely talented player that dazzled in the French league last season and also made a major impact in the Champions League. He is blessed with phenomenal pace and trickery, which makes him a great attacking goal threat. Lemar is only going to improve at his young age and Liverpool fans would love him to develop at Anfield. He would fit into the high intensity style of manager Klopp and add some extra quality in the final third. Liverpool’s return to Europe’s elite competition allows them to compete for the top signings and youngster Lemar is certainly one of the best out there.
In other Liverpool transfer news, they are willing to make a £43.7million offer for an attacker.
