Liverpool fans are unmoved at the prospect of seeing Ajax star Anwar El Ghazi move to Anfield to rival new signings Sadio Mane and Georginio Wijnaldum this summer.
The 21-year-old star was in excellent form for the Dutch giants last season, scoring 11 goals in 37 appearances whilst supplying a further three assists.
According to Italian publication Il Tempo, the winger is on Liverpool’s target list and has also interested AC Milan but could prefer a move to Lazio as he would team-up with former Ajax winger Ricardo Kishna.
El Ghazi joined Ajax from Sparta Rotterdam in 2013 and has climbed through the ranks of the Dutch giants to make 36 first-team appearances this season.
Liverpool are still in the market for attacking reinforcements this summer despite the signings of Mane and Wijnaldum, as they have allowed Jordan Ibe and Joao Teixeira to leave Anfield.
Liverpool fans have shared their opinion on El Ghazi via Twitter throughout the summer, with the 6ft 2in attacker receiving a mixed reaction.
Reports suggest that Lazio are unwilling to meet the asking price, and would prefer to do a deal for around £11million.
Along with Mane and Wijnaldum, Klopp has brought in four other faces in Lorus Karius, Joel Matip, Marko Grujic and Alex Manninger.
In other Liverpool transfer news, the Reds are looking to rival Tottenham and Arsenal for this youngster.
