Wales hold a weekly “Joe Allen Appreciation Day” on their WhatsApp group, according to captain Ashley Williams.
Allen’s hair, style and general lifestyle choices have made him a popular figure at his club Liverpool and within the footballing world.
And now Williams has revealed the Wales squad are just as infatuated with the former Swansea man as the rest of us.
“Everyone loves Joe,” said Williams speaking to Wales Online.
“We have a WhatsApp messaging group and at least once a week we have a Joe Allen Appreciation Day.
“Great beard, great haircut, great guy, he’s the main man in the squad. Class player too.”
Allen has been rumoured to be on his way out of Anfield this summer, but would be sorely missed by Liverpool fans who have affectionately dubbed him the “Welsh Xavi”.
Although the Liverpool midfielder has yet to justify the £15million the club splashed out on him four years ago, his attitude and commitment has meant he is highly thought of among supporters.
From man buns to having his face magically appear on toast, Allen is the gift that keeps on giving, as demonstrated by the below Spring addition of the Chicken and Egg magazine.

Allen is entering the final year of his current deal and the Wales international will be hoping his excellent end of season form and general top class banter will be enough to grant him a contract extension at Anfield.
In other Liverpool news, Celtic have launched a £3million bid for a Reds defender.
