Dejan Lovren will be available for the clash against Swansea, according to a report.

Liverpool travel to the Liberty Stadium on Saturday for the Premier League encounter and will be considered favourites for the match.

Jurgen Klopp’ side have been in phenomenal form in recent games and will be boosted further by the return of Lovren.

The Echo report that the defender will be in the squad against Swansea after recovering from a viral infection.

The 27-year-old was sidelined for Saturday’s 5-1 win against Hull but will hope to be restored to the starting line up.

Ragnar Klavan partnered Joel Matip in the heart of the defence in the absence of Lovren but the club continue to search for their first clean sheet of the league season.

Lovren has become a crucial part of Liverpool’s defence and is expected to return to the side alongside Matip.

He has been unlucky with injury at the beginning of the new season and also missed the clash against Leicester due to a severe black eye.

Lovren sustained the eye injury during training and was unable to play against the reigning league champions.

The centre-back has made 82 appearances at Anfield since his arrival from Southampton and has settled down after a difficult start at the club.

Liverpool are currently fourth in the table and have picked up 13 points from their opening six games in the league.
