Napoli are preparing a £29.6million offer for Liverpool target Marko Pjaca, according to reports.

The Express citing Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Napoli are ready to make the largest offer yet for the Dinamo Zagreb ace.

Loris Karius, Sadio Mane and Joel Matip have all arrived at Anfield this summer and Klopp is believed to still be in the hunt to bring more additions to Merseyside before the start of the 2016-17 Premier League season.

Pjaca scored 12 goals and notched six assists in 42 games for Dinamo Zagreb in all competitions this season.

The 21-year-old is contracted to Zagreb until 2019 and was thought to be tempted by a move to the Premier League amid interest from Liverpool, but it now appears the Anfield outfit will miss out on the forward’s services.

The youngster starred at this summer’s European Championships for Croatia and played an impressive role for his country before they were beaten by Portugal in extra time in the round of 16 clash.

The move will frustrate Liverpool fans who will be keen to see their side invest heavily in the squad this summer as rivals Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester city have all made substantial additions in the transfer market.

In other Liverpool news, the Reds have entered the race for £13million Porto midfielder Ruben Neves.
