Liverpool will have to pay £12million to secure the signing of Andy Robertson from Hull, according to a report.
The Mirror has claimed that Hull manager Steve Bruce wants the Tigers’ full asking price, plus Robbie Brady back from relegated Norwich, before any deal could be completed.
Liverpool are in the market for a left-back after Alberto Moreno delivered a series of mixed displays in the recently completed domestic season.
The Merseyside club have failed so far in their attempts to find a replacement for Moreno with moves for both Ben Chilwell and Douglas Santos falling flat.
As reported by Football Insider, Liverpool have had a bid of £7million rejected for Leicester sensation Chilwell.
Robertson arrived from Dundee United in July 2014 for a fee of £2.85million but his good form over the last two season has seen his value rise.
The Scotland international has played 76 matches for Hull since his arrival and has developed himself into an integral part of the team.
The move would fall in line with Liverpool’s recent policy of signing young, British players that can be allowed to flourish at Anfield.
In other Liverpool news, Gareth Bale has praised Joe Allen for his performances at Euro 2016 and is convinced the 26-year-old will have an incredible career whether or not he leaves Liverpool this summer.
