Liverpool and Tottenham have both tweeted videos of old goals scored against their opponents, ahead of their League Cup clash on Tuesday evening.
The two teams go head-to-head at Anfield in the midweek showdown but took part in a subtle battle on Twitter prior to kick-off.
Liverpool started the amusing social media battle by tweeting a video of a screamer scored by current number 10 Philippe Coutinho against Spurs.

The goal came in April 2016 during a Premier League clash between the two sides at Anfield but Tottenham equalised through Harry Kane just ten minutes later.
Spurs will be without their star striker for the trip to Merseyside this time however, while he continues to recover from a ankle injury which has kept him out for almost two months.

Tottenham responded to Liverpool’s tweet with a sublime goal of their own, perhaps even better than Coutinho’s and dated back to April 2005.
Erik Edman was the goalscorer that day and the former defender helped Tottenham grab a vital point during a 2-2 encounter with the future European Champions at Anfield.
Both Jurgen Klopp and Mauricio Pochettino are expected to make a number of changes to the sides which featured in the Premier League this weekend with a whole host of academy stars set to test themselves against each other.
In other Liverpool news, these youngsters have been confirmed as two of the stars to feature against Tottenham.
