Lucas Moura says he knows nothing about a potential move to Liverpool from Paris Saint-Germain.
Various media outlets have tipped the Brazil international to move to Liverpool this summer, but the PSG winger was dismissive about the speculation when asked by journalists in his homeland.
Moura put in an impressive 2015-16 season, scoring 13 goals and supplying five assists in all competitions, but insisted the rumours have no basis.
“I know nothing, I’m only aware of what’s been on internet by the press,” said Moura speaking to Brazilian outlet Globo Esporte, as translated by the Liverpool Echo.
“There were no contacts with me, it’s only speculation.”
Sky Sports’ Football Whispers section claim that the 23-year-old is in the running as a possible summer signing for Jurgen Klopp ahead of the new Premier League season.
Moura has been near the top of the list of players likely to join Liverpool on the site, but so far there has been no concrete evidence that a deal is in the works.
The Brazilian is under contract with PSG until 2019 and was a massive investment for the French champions in 2012 when they splashed out a fee in the region of £30million for the winger.
In other Liverpool news, the Reds have lost another promising youngster this summer.
