Jurgen Klopp has revealed Sheyi Ojo definitely has a long-term future at the club, but admitted he has yet to decide whether the winger will be shipped out on loan this season.

The academy graduate has impressed since breaking into the first-team last campaign and Ojo managed to carry his good form into pre-season with an excellent display against AC Milan on Saturday.

Ojo’s strong run and clever pass picked out Roberto Firmino for Liverpool’s second in the 2-0 victory and Klopp admitted after the game he was still making up his mind about Ojo’s short-term future.

“I don’t know. We will have to see,” said Klopp, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo.

“Sheyi is a wonderful player that’s for sure and his future is 100% at Liverpool. We don’t have to make decisions so early.

“We have time and we have to use the time. We have had some injuries. We need to make the boys as fit as possible.

“Ojo has only been with us for five days after coming from the tournament with England under-19s.”

Ojo spent part of last season on loan at Wolves, but he could be given the opportunity to stay with the first-team for the new campaign.

The 19-year-old would have plenty of competition in the winger department with Sadio Mane, Firmino, Adam Lallana and Georginio Wijnaldum all capable of playing on the flanks.

In other Liverpool news, one attacker has completed a loan move away from the club.
