Crtistian Tello has rejected the opportunity to join Liverpool this summer, according to a report.
The Barcelona forward has struggled to establish himself at the Spanish club and has spent the last two seasons out on loan at Porto and then Fiorentina.
Italian outlet Corriere Dello Sport claim that Jurgen Klopp was keen to offer the 24-year-old the chance to re-ignite his career at Anfield, but Tello has turned down Liverpool’s offer.
Tello, who can play on either wing, wants to return to Fiorentina where he managed to rediscover some of the form that once had him tipped to be the next big name at Barcelona.
Five assists and two goals in just 15 Serie A appearances for Fiorentina added up to an impressive few months with the club and Tello is eager to make his stay in Italy permanent.
It is unclear whether Barcelona want their forward to return to Fiorentina on a loan deal or if they are willing to part ways with a player who has been at the club since he was 16-years-old.
Tello is under contract with the La Liga champions until 2018, but may feel it is time to move on permanently after being unable to produce any kind of consistency at the Camp Nou.
