Lord Sugar is convinced Tottenham can take heart from Celtic’s Champions League display against Manchester City on Wednesday night.
The Scottish champions held City to a 3-3 draw at Parkhead in a thriller that ended Pep Guardiola’s perfect record since taking over as manager.
The visitors came from behind on three separate occasions to earn a point from the Group C clash through goals from Fernandinho, Raheem Sterling and Nolito.
In-form striker Mousa Dembele had scored twice for the hosts, supplemented by a Sterling own goal.
It was the first time City had failed to secure a victory this season in what was, astonishingly, their 11th competitive match.
Former Spurs chairman Sugar believes the result is a major boost for the Londoners ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash at White Hart Lane.
He took to his personal Twitter account on Wedneday night to claim the outcome at Parkhead “shows Spurs they can score against them (City) on Sunday”.

Sunday’s showdown pits the top two placed sides in the Premier League against one another, with City four points clear of Tottenham after taking 18 points from their opening six matches in the competition.
