Loris Karius has called for Liverpool to maintain their superior form after the international break against Southampton.
Karius watched from between the sticks at Anfield as Liverpool’s attack put Watford to the sword on Sunday, with Sadio Mane, Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino combining to secure a 6-1 win.
Posting on his personal Instagram account, summer signing Karius is desperate to see that kind of form continue after Jurgen Klopp’s side finished the weekend on top of the Premier League.
As well as Mane, Karius watched on as Firmino, Coutinho, Emre Can and Georginio Wijnaldum got their names on the scoresheet.
Karius, a £4.7million signing from Bundesliga outfit Mainz in the summer, was unable to hang onto a clean sheet though as Daryl Janmaat found the bottom corner of the 23-year-old’s net during the second half to secure a consolation for the Hornets.
Klopp’s side must wait two weeks to consolidate their place at the top of the Premier League, as the international break takes over.
Liverpool face a tough away trip to Southampton when they return on November 19, as they look to stretch their lead at the top to four points if other results go their way.
