Mark Lawrenson has tipped Tottenham to play out a high scoring 2-2 draw against Manchester City on Sunday afternoon.
BBC Sport’s pundit Lawrenson expects both teams to test each others back line in an eagerly awaited Premier League clash at White Hart Lane.
After six games both teams are the only two unbeaten sides in the league, but City top the table with a 100 % record, while Spurs are second with 14 points and two draws to their name.
Ex-Liverpool defender Lawrenson has expressed that he expects an “entertaining” afternoon in north London as the top two teams in the league clash.
“This is a big game between the top two and I am expecting an entertaining afternoon in north London,” Lawrenson wrote on the BBC Sport website.
“Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is very impressive in the way he sets his teams up and they are definitely going to test City’s back-line, especially Son Heung-min who is flying at the moment.
“City are not going to go to White Hart Lane and sit back, though. They clearly pose an attacking threat too and, whatever the end result, I am pretty sure there will be a few goals.”
Mauricio Pochettino’s side picked up a 1-0 victory in their Champions League group game at CSKA Moscow on Tuesday night.
In contrast Pep Guardiola’s City were involved in a 3-3 draw during their Champions League group game at Scottish giants Celtic.
A win for City at the weekend could potentially put them seven points clear of their rivals, while a win for Spurs puts them a point behind the Etihad club.
