Mesut Ozil has stated on Twitter that he has “gained new energy during the international break” and that he will see fans in Manchester on Saturday.

Arsenal will travel to Old Trafford to face Manchester United for the early 12.30pm kick-off at the weekend.

It is a clash that will see two of England’s great rivals face each other with the Gunners sat in fourth place and Jose Mourinho’s United team currently in sixth.

Ozil has already played a pivotal part for Arsene Wenger’s team this campaign and he has now stated on his personal Twitter account that he has been rejuvenated after the two-week break.

Ozil, 28, was left at home by Germany as the national team took on San Marino and Italy in order to give the star playmaker a break.

Meanwhile, at club level he has been ever-present for the Gunners playing in 14 fixtures scoring seven goals and providing four assists.

With under two years left on his contract there have been talks of a new deal, but with time ticking fans are now hoping they tie up one of their big players as soon as possible.
