Mesut Ozil has hailed Arsenal’s “mentality” on Twitter, after they recorded a 4-1 win over Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Saturday afternoon.
Playmaker Ozil played 90 minutes, as the Gunners briefly topped the Premier League table, before being overtaken by Manchester City, who thrashed West Brom 4-0 in the later kick-off.
A brace from Alexis Sanchez and Olivier Giroud helped Arsenal thrash lowly Sunderland, who are yet to register three points this season, and they sit rock bottom.
Sanchez opened the scoring, but the hosts pulled one back through the penalty spot on the hour mark. Giroud came off the bench to score a brace, before Sanchez rounded off a brilliant afternoon for the visitors.
“Great team mentality after the equalizer,” Ozil wrote on his personal Twitter account. “Three goals in less than 10 minutes.”
