Michael Owen believes the belief is growing within the Liverpool team as he hailed their performance in their 2-1 win over Chelsea on Friday night.
The former Merseyside striker stated that Jurgen Klopp’s team were the better side at Stamford Bridge as he felt the victory was a big setback for Chelsea.
Klopp’s side briefly moved into the top four with that a win, with Owen believing it has further boosted the Anfield squad.
“What a result,” Owen wrote on his personal Twitter account. “Liverpool the better side too. Belief is growing, Big setback for Chelsea.”

Dejan Lovren had put the visitors ahead early on in the first-half, before skipper Jordan Henderson unleashed a sensational shot from 25 yards to double their lead before half-time.
Striker Diego Costa did pull one back for the hosts in the second-half, but Liverpool held on to claim all three points.
Owen was not the only former Red praising their performance, with Anfield legend Steven Gerrard taking to Instagram to hail the duo of Lovren and Henderson.
