Michael Owen has predicted Liverpool to continue their impressive form against Swansea in Saturday afternoon’s clash.
The Reds will travel to the Liberty Stadium as they prepare for a clash 12.30pm kick off.
Former Liverpool striker and now BT Sport pundit Owen highlighted the side’s impressive form in front of goal, stating that he would have loved to play in this current team.
“Liverpool have scored 24 goals in their eight competitive games this season and you have to go back to the 1895-96 season (121 years) for a time when the Reds scored more (34) after the same number of fixtures,” Owen told the Bet Victor website.
“I would have loved to have played in this current Liverpool team and I can’t see the Swans stopping Jurgen Klopp’s side in their present mood.”
The Reds are on a good run with four wins from their last four matches in all competitions, which includes 14 goals scored.
They come up against a Swansea side who have struggled in the league in the new campaign and have also lost their last three fixtures.
However, the Swans did run out 3-1 victors the last time the two side’s met in May with a Andre Ayew double and Jack Cork goal cancelling out a Christian Benteke strike.
In other Liverpool news, Stan Collymore has predicted the Reds will comfortably beat Swansea.
