Michael Owen expects Liverpool to bounce back from the disappointing performance against Manchester United by beating West Brom on Saturday evening.

The Reds recorded a goalless draw against United on Monday night, which halted Jurgen Klopp’s charge up the Premier League table.

Albion manager Tony Pulis is unbeaten against the Merseyside club in eight Premier League appearances, as he travels to Anfield for a tough away fixture.

Nonetheless, former Reds striker Owen believes Klopp’s men will take the lead from the half-time break and go on to register another victory at home.

“Tony Pulis is unbeaten in his last eight PL games against Liverpool,” Owen wrote in his Bet Victor column.  “But I see the Reds bouncing back from what was a disappointing performance against Manchester United earlier in the week.”

Following their point against Jose Mourinho’s United in midweek, the Reds are now fourth in the league table with 17 points from eight games.

They are two points off Manchester City and Arsenal who are first and second respectively going into the weekend fixtures.

By contrast Albion are 12th with ten points, having held the unbeaten Tottenham to a 1-1 draw at the Hawthorns in their previous encounter.
