Michael Owen believes Tottenham will find Bournemouth a “totally different proposition” ahead of their clash on Saturday afternoon.
TV Pundit Owen has predicted the game to finish in a draw, which means Spurs will maintain their unbeaten record in the league against an in-form Cherries side at Dean Court.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side rescued a late draw at West Brom last Saturday, when Dele Alli’s late strike helped them record a 1-1 draw at the Hawthorns.
Now former Liverpool striker Owen believes Eddie Howe’s men will pose a different threat for the north London club on their home patch.
“Bournemouth continue to impress and I wasn’t surprised they gave Hull a bit of a hiding at Dean Court last weekend,” Owen wrote in his Bet Victor column.
“The Cherries only ever win against Spurs was in the FA Cup back in February 1957 and the north London side hit eight in the two PL games last season; I think they will find this Bournemouth side a totally different proposition.”
Bournemouth are 11th with 11 points from eight games, having recorded three wins, two draws and three losses during this campaign.
By contrast Tottenham are third in the table with 18 points, a point off rivals Arsenal and leaders Manchester City who have the same number of points going into the weekend fixtures.
In other Tottenham team news, Arsenal supporters on Twitter have asked Jack Wilshere to beat Spurs on Saturday with Bournemouth.
