Micky Hazard has hailed Tottenham’s eleven on Twitter following the win against Manchester City on Sunday.

The north London side were helped on their way to victory with an own goal from Aleksandar Kolarov before Dele Alli calmly slotted past goalkeeper Claudio Bravo.

Former Spurs midfielder, Hazard took to his personal Twitter account following the victory and claimed that the whole eleven were brilliant to watch.

Hazard played at Tottenham for seven years between 1978 and 1985 and has kept the club in his heart following his playing days.

Sunday’s vital victory has seen Spurs remain in second place, but they now sit a point behind Pep Guardiola’s league leaders.

Tottenham have also become the first side to beat City under Guardiola in the new campaign with the Manchester club winning each of their six Premier League fixtures beforehand.

The north London side will now prepare for a tie against Tony Pulis’ West Brom side after the international break.

The tie will be played at the Hawthorns and in the last campaign the two side’s couldn’t be separated playing out two 1-1 draws.

Former Spurs attacker Nacer Chadli will also have a point to prove following his move in the summer.
