Mohamed Elneny is set to return to the Arsenal squad for the Premier League showdown against Leicester on Sunday, Football Insider sources understand.
The January signing missed the last two games against Southampton and Bournemouth last week to be with his wife, who was expecting their second child.
Elneny confirmed the birth of his child a couple of hours before the Gunners got their title challenge back on track by beating Bournemouth 2-0 on Sunday
The January signing took to social media site Twitter on Sunday to explain that he had become a parent again.
“New baby thanks allah” tweeted Elneny after Arsenal fans had questioned why he was not in the 18-man matchday squad for Sunday’s fixture.

Elneny has made just one appearance for Arsenal to date, an impressive debut in the 2-1 FA Cup win over Burnley.
An Arsenal source has told Football Insider that the Egyptian is in contention to play against Leicester in the top-of-the-table clash at Emirates Stadium.
With Francis Coquelin back fit and Santi Cazorla targeting a return there is growing competition for places in Arsene Wenger’s midfield.
Mathieu Flamini and Aaron Ramsey have been the established central midfield pairing over the last two months, although the veteran Frenchman faces a battle to keep his place in the team.
