Aleksandar Mitrović must start up front when Newcastle take on table toppers Norwich at St James’ Park on Wednesday evening.
The Magpies missed numerous guilt edge opportunities during the 1-1 draw with Aston Villa on Saturday and Rafa Benitez should make changes to his attacking line.
The Spaniard needs to make three changes by including Mitrovic, Christian Atsu and Chancel Mbemba into the starting fold.
Yoan Gouffran, Issac Hayden and the injured DeAndre Yedlin must make way, as the Magpies need to be more clinical in front of goal.
Mitrović’s strength and hold up play would complement Dwight Gayle in the final third, with the former Crystal Palace forward missing a number of clear cut chances at the weekend.
Additionally, pacy winger Atsu must replace Yoan Gouffran out wide, with the Ghanaian’s quick feet and ability to take players on key to Newcastle causing problems for the Norwich defence.
Matt Richie needs to continue on the right, as his crossing ability will suit Mitrović’s style of play and test the aerial ability of the Canneries defence.
Mo Diame must drop to a much deeper role against Norwich, as his qualities suit him breaking up play inside his own half.
Centre-back pairing Ciaran Clark and Jamaal Lascelles need to start against Norwich, after their solid display at Villa Park.
Furthermore, with Yedlin and Vurnon Anita injured and suspended respectively Benitez must decide to play Mbemba at right-back, with the 22-year-old sitting out Newcastle’s previous league fixture.
