Garry Monk has revealed “determination” drove Leeds to three points against Wolves on Saturday afternoon at Molineux.

Striker Kemar Roofe netted his first goal for the club, when he converted Hadi Sacko’s cross midway through the second-half, as the Yorkshire club picked up a 1-0 win.

The goal helped Monk’s side secure all three points, as they move up to tenth in the table, with 20 points, three points adrift of a play-off place.

After the game the former Premier League manager delivered this message to supporters, following their impressive away victory.

“Our determination drove us on to take the 3 points,” Monk wrote on his personal Twitter account. “Thanks to the away supporters, once again they were fantastic.”

The Whites have now picked up seven points from five league games, as they make a surge up the Championship table.

Supporters will be hoping the former Swansea manager can guide them to the top-flight for the first time in 12 years.

Leeds will now turn their attention to Tuesday night, when they host Norwich in the EFL Cup, before a league fixture against Burton at Elland Road.
