Rangers and Scotland legend Kenny Miller has revealed that new signing Niko Kranjcar is looking “very good” in pre-season training.

The Croatian international is one of eight signings made by boss Mark Warburton this summer, as the 54-time Scottish Champions being their hunt for the 55th title.

Miller has been very impressed with the former Tottenham playmaker’s ability on the ball.

“Niko’s been getting bedded into training the last few days and he looks very, very good,” said Miller in an interview with Rangers TV, as reported by HITC.

Kranjcar, who turns 32 in the middle of August, has 81 Croatian caps to his name and was most recently seen playing in the American second division for New York Cosmos, formerly home to the likes of Pele and Raul.

Although Kranjcar might not be on that level, Miller believes he is definitely on Rangers’ level and has inspired the Scotland international.

He added to Rangers TV: “He looks very comfortable [on the ball] which everybody knew he was and he’s only going to get better and stronger.”

One of eight signings, Warburton has also brought in the likes of Joey Barton and Clint Hill, and has been linked with on-fire Wigan striker Will Grigg.

In other Rangers news, The Gers are unlikely to offer a contract to this USA international.
