Celtic midfielder Liam Henderson has taken to Twitter to reveal he has been impressed by new signing Moussa Dembele in training.

The 19-year-old French striker became the first signing of new boss Brendan Rodgers last week when he joined in a landmark deal from Fulham.

Henderson revealed to Celtic fans on his personal Twitter account that the new acquisition has looked good so far.

The striker joined from Fulham on a four-year deal and grabbed the eye of a number of clubs following his form in the Championship last season.

He scored 17 goals in all competitions in a struggling Fulham side who finished just above the relegation zone.

The youngster begun his career at Paris St-Germain as a 16-year-old before making the move to London and his move to Glasgow will now give him the opportunity to compete in Europe.

Henderson, 20, spent much of last season on-loan at Hibernian and has returned to Celtic for pre-season training.

Football Insider revealed last month that London rivals Tottenham and Arsenal were both strongly interested in the youngster.

Brendan Rodgers completed his second signing yesterday, as Celtic clinched a part-exchange deal for teenager PJ Crossan.

With Ibrox rivals Rangers making a return to the top-flight this season the race for the title is expected to be closer than in recent years.
