Daryl Murphy made his debut for Newcastle in their 2-0 win over Watford on Tuesday – and fans were thrilled with his performance on Twitter.
Murphy, 33, joined the Magpies in late August and signed a two-year deal at St James’ Park.
The forward enjoyed a full run-out against Wolves as two goals in two first-half minutes from Matt Ritchie and Yoan Gouffran sealed the win for the Toon.
Supporters on social media praised Murphy’s display with one fan claiming the striker rocked in his role as a centre-forward.

The striker has scored 84 goals and provided 51 assists in 376 matches throughout his career.
In recent years, Murphy has become a prolific scorer, the 23-time capped Republic of Ireland international netted an impressive 50 goals for Ipswich in 134 fixtures.
The striker played four times for Ipswich in the new campaign, providing two assists without scoring.
Murphy has enjoyed spells with Luton, Sunderland, Sheffield Wednesday and Celtic before joining Rafa Benitez on Tyneside.
The attacker will now be hoping his impressive display can help to cement him a regular first-team place at Newcastle this season.
