Newcastle are ready to sell Daryl Janmaat for the right price after Inter Milan, Napoli and Juventus registered an interest in the defender, according to a report.

The imminent arrival of Jesus Gamez from Atletico Madrid has thrown fellow full-back Janmaat’s future up in the air after just two seasons with Newcastle.

The Chronicle claim Newcastle are now ready to listen to offers for the right-back after he raised eyebrows towards the end of the season.

Janmaat broke two fingers punching a wall in anger after Newcastle suffered a 3-1 loss to Southampton in March and returned to the first-team when relegation was already sealed.

The Netherlands international made 32 appearances for Newcastle in their doomed Premier League campaign, but did bag two goals and four assists in those games.

Janmaat still has four years left in his current contract, but if a bid comes in that fits Newcstle’s valuation of the player then they will part ways with the defender.

Newcastle paid £5million for Janmaat two years ago and may be confident they can recoup that figure with top Italian clubs reportedly interested.

With the Magpies preparing for a season in the Championship the club will be looking to offload some deadweight and keep their finances under control as they aim to make their stay in the second division a short one.

Newcastle have announced the captures of Dwight Gayle and Matt Ricthie to the club as they look to bolster their attacking options for the upcoming season.

In other Newcastle news, another Magpie who could be on the move this summer has seen one proposed move collapse.
