Sheyi Ojo scored a wonder goal as Liverpool swept Exeter aside in their FA Cup replay on Wednesday night.
The midfielder, 18, sealed the win for the Merseysiders with a delightfully taken goal to give the hosts a two-goal advantage over the League Two side at Anfield.
Ojo, in only his second appearance for the club, received the ball on the right side of the penalty box at the 73-minute mark and chipped it into the far corner for his first competitive Liverpool goal.
Ojo’s strike came just nine minutes after he had replaced Joe Allen, who put the Premier League side ahead early on when he steered in Brad Smith’s cross.
Joao Teixeira added a third following excellent work from Christian Benteke as Liverpool eventually ran out 3-0 winners over Paul Tidsdale’s team.
But it was Ojo who gave notice of his special talent just two weeks after being recalled from his loan spell at Championship club Wolves.
The teenager, an England Under-19 international, was signed from MK Dons as a 14-year-old in 2011 for a fee of around £2million.
