Midfielder Eunan O’Kane believes that Leeds showed “great character” in their victory against Wolves.

The Whites earned a 1-0 away win on Saturday in their Championship meeting, with Kemar Roofe scoring the winner in the second-half.

The result leaves Garry Monk’s side 10th in the table and they are now just three points adrift of the play-off positions.

O’Kane claimed that Leeds did very well to hang on against Wolves in the narrow victory.

“A great win for us today. Not the prettiest performance but three points on the board. Think we showed great character to hang on!” O’Kane wrote on his personal Twitter account.

O’Kane, 26, played the full 90 minutes against Wolves and helped to screen the back four.

The central midfielder has made a good impact since his arrival in the summer transfer window and made nine appearances.

He left Premier League club Bournemouth in his pursuit of regular football and has settled well at Elland Road.

O’Kane is still searching for his first goal for Leeds but has never been prolific in front of goal, scoring 24 goals in 259 career appearances.

In other Leeds team news, the club’s supporters reacted on Twitter to Pontus Jansson’s performance against Wolves.
