Joel Campbell is the only Arsenal player not to have been injured this year.

Every other member of Arsene Wenger’s first-team squad has not been fit to play at some point in 2015.

The injuries sustained by Alexis Sanchez and Santi Cazorla in Arsenal’s 1-1 draw at Norwich last Sunday leaves Campbell as the only Gunner to escape injury since January.

Sanchez had a scan on Tuesday on his injured right hamstring to assess the extent of the damage and Cazorla has a knee problem.

Both players had remained injury-free this year up to that point and are major doubts for the team’s next two fixtures, Saturday’s Premier League home clash against Sunderland and thw must-win Champions League match against Olympiakos four days later.

Analysis of the injuries sustained by the Arsenal players this year demonstrates the difficulties that Arsene Wenger and his staff have had in keeping their best players fit.

There are 10 Gunners’ players currently injured, but Laurent Koscielny (hip) and Kieran Gibbs (shin) are hopeful of being passed fit to face Sunderland.

As revealed by Football Insider on Tuesday, Theo Walcott is also closing in on a return after a five-week absence with a calf injury and is in contention to make the squad at the weekend.
