Ossie Ardiles believes that Tottenham’s meeting with Manchester City on Sunday is a crucial one.
Spurs host the current leaders in the Premier League as the top two in the league clash at White Hart Lane.
Pep Guardiola has transformed City since his arrival in the summer and has a 100 per cent win record in all competitions, including all six of their league matches.
The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager has already improved results on the pitch and they are now considered clear title favourites.
Spurs legend Ardiles explained on his personal Twitter account that City are the team to beat this season but believes his former club can cause an upset.
“Now, what a game is coming. Believe Man City is the team to beat this season and we are one of the teams that can be team,” he said.
