Chelsea and West Ham are set to face each other in Wednesday evening’s EFL Cup tie at the London Stadium.
The two London rivals could be looking to select a number of youngsters for the cup competition with the league campaign viewed as more important.
The Hammers have a long history of producing young talented players, which has produced the likes of Frank Lampard, Joe Cole and Jermain Defoe.
Meanwhile, Chelsea have a reputation for hoarding young prospects and sending them out on loan to their various feeder clubs in Europe before they ultimately leave the club.
As the kick off between the two London teams edges closer Football Insider has selected a combined team of players from the two club, who are aged 23 or under going into the match on October 26.
Centre-back duo Reece Oxford and Kurt Zouma would start in an impressive back line, which also includes Sam Byram and Arthur Masuaku, with all four players having experience of playing in the Premier League.
Ahead of them they will have young England prospects and Chelsea pair Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Nathaniel Chalobah.
Chalobah, 21, has already played for a host of clubs on loan, which includes Napoli in Serie A and Burnley in the Premier League and the duo are both talented with the ball at their feet.
An attacking midfield trio of Manuel Lanzini, Jonathan Calleri and Djair Parfitt-Williams would also cause a lot of problems to a teams defence.
The three are known for their pace and trickery and their raw ability with the ball at their feet gives them an air of unpredictability.
However, it’s the striker position which boasts the star of the show in £31.5million summer signing Michy Batshuayi.
The player was linked with a host of Premier League sides before his transfer, which includes Tottenham after scoring 21 goals in 45 appearances for Marseille in all competitions in the last campaign.
In other West Ham news, John Obi Mikel has claimed the Hammers play like an away team at the London Stadium.
