Paul McGrath was left angry and disappointed after Aston Villa allowed John Egan too much space on the far post for Brentford’s late equaliser on Wednesday evening.
Roberto Di Matteo’s side conceded after the 85th minute for the second consecutive game, which did not please club legend McGrath.
The former centre-back took to his personal Twitter account after the 1-1 Championship draw at Villa Park and criticised the side for failing to pick up goalscorer Egan on the back post.
The Midlands side have now dropped a potential seven points this term after conceding the 85th minute equaliser during midweek.
Villa sit in 17th position in the Championship table with seven points from seven games.
Di Matteo has not registered a win since the first home game of the season when Villa comfortably beat Rotherham 3-0.
Under-fire Di Matteo will now travel to Mick McCarthy’s Ipswich side, as Villa look to pick up their first win in five games.
In contrast Ipswich have registered three wins from seven games, as they lie in ninth positon with eleven points to their name.
