Paul Merson has backed “dominant” Liverpool to beat Swansea 3-0 at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Sky Sports pundit Merson stated that excluding the 2-0 loss to Burnley earlier on in the season, Jurgen Klopp’s side have been “outstanding”.

The Reds thrashed newly-promoted Hull 5-1 on Saturday afternoon to register their four consecutive win in all competitions.

Ex-Arsenal forward Merson has backed Klopp’s men to continue their form and pick up their fifth consecutive win.

“I can’t see anything other than an away win,” Merson wrote in his Sky Sports column. “Liverpool are playing very well and are dominant at the moment. Take away the Burnley result and they have been outstanding.

“It’s hard for Swansea, for a lot of teams if they come 17th it’s been a good season, that’s how tight it is down there. But I am a great believer that you stick with your manager you had at the start of the season.”

The Merseyside club sit in fourth place with 13 points from their opening six games, with four wins, one draw and one loss to their name.

Liverpool have scored 16 league goals this term, with only table toppers Manchester City (18), scoring more.

A win at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday would put the Reds two points behind Pep Guardiola’s City who travel to Tottenham on Sunday afternoon.
