Paul Merson has predicted goals in Tottenham’s game away to Bournemouth on Saturday, but he thinks the spoils will be shared.

Spurs are the only club that have an unbeaten record in the Premier League this season, and Merson believes that will stay intact.

However, he believes that Bournemouth have enough to secure a point in a 2-2 draw – a result which the Bournemouth fans would be happier with.

Talking on the Sky Sports website, Merson said, “Bournemouth are playing very well, I watched them last week. Spurs had a tough game in midweek and it might catch up with them for the early Saturday kick-off.

“I know they got beaten 5-1 last year, but it will be different for Bournemouth.

“I’ve been impressed with Spurs, even when they don’t play well they get a result. They’re undefeated, and when they go 1-0 down late on against West Brom, they fight back for a result.

“But I can see a draw here, which would be a superb result for an ever-improving Bournemouth side under Eddie Howe.”

Tottenham put up a brave challenge for the Premier League title last season but eventually faded into third place behind Leicester and Arsenal.

They’re currently in third place this season too, after a strong start. They have 18 points and are behind leaders Manchester City and London rivals Arsenal who are both on 19 points.

In other Tottenham news, fans have reacted on Twitter to the news that this 26-year-old could be out with an injury.
