Leeds have been in fantastic form in recent times, winning nine out of their last 12 league and cup fixtures which has seen them propel from the lower depths of the Championship to sixth in the playoffs.
However, Monk’s side will have their work cut out against Benitez’s Magpies, after captain Liam Bridcutt and one-time Spain international Pablo Hernandez were ruled out.
Benitez has masterminded the relegated Premier League side to eight straight wins, and will be looking to go five points clear following Brighton’s draw against Aston Villa.
Clotet has been in Yorkshire since the summer after moving to Elland Road with former Swansea boss Garry Monk.
The duo worked together at the Liberty Stadium before Monk was sacked as manager, and have once again linked up in an attempt to return the former Premier League side back to the top flight of English football for the first time in 12 years.
In other Leeds news, this is the expected side to face Newcastle on Sunday.
