Lucas Perez congratulated his Arsenal and Spain team-mate Nacho Monreal on Twitter after the full-back netted his first international goal on Saturday evening.
The 30-year-old played the full 90 minutes against Macedonia as Spain ran out comfortable 4-0 victors with goals from Moreal, Vitolo and Aritz Aduriz following a Darko Velkovski own goal.
The defender bagged his first goal during his 17th cap for his country and the injured Perez took note of his goal, as he congratulated Monreal on his personal Twitter account.
“Congratulations Nacho Monreal for your first goal with Spain and to Spain for the rout on Macedonia,” reads the Tweet from Perez.

Monreal has established himself as Arsene Wenger’s first choice full-back at the club, with Kieran Gibbs playing as backup.
The Spain international has played in 12 encounters for the Gunners in all competitions this season, as the north London club currently sit in fourth place in the Premier League table.
They are looking to put an end to a 12-year wait for the title after last winning it in 2004 following an unbeaten league campaign.
They will face rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford next in the early 12.30pm kick off on Saturday, who are currently sat in sixth place and eager to improve.
