Sheyi Ojo and Joe Gomez are both back in action for Liverpool after suffering lengthy injuries and they were pictured by the club’s official Twitter account on Monday morning.

Alongside the duo, Lucas Leiva and Dejan Lovren posed and showed their pleasure at seeing the youngsters in training after a long absence.

Ojo hinted at his return to training on Monday morning in a Snapchat image but the picture on the club’s official Twitter account confirmed he has made his return from injury.

The winger suffered a back fracture in Liverpool’s friendly defeat against Roma in the summer and has not featured since the pre-season campaign.

Gomez returned to full training in October and he played his first game since picking up a serious ACL injury over 13 months ago on Sunday afternoon during a behind-closed-doors friendly.

The 19 year-old played 45 minutes as a second-half substitute for the Reds in a friendly against Accrington Stanley at Melwood, which Liverpool won 5-0.

It will be a huge boost for Jurgen Klopp to have the youngsters back in action and with Sadio Mane set to head off on international duty in the Africa Cup of Nations in January, Ojo’s return couldn’t have been more timely.

In other Liverpool news, the Spanish press claim the Reds are lining-up a replacement for Coutinho in January.
