Piers Morgan has stated on Twitter that Arsenal lacked “fire and finishing” as they drew 1-1 with Tottenham at the Emirates on Sunday afternoon.
Broadcaster Morgan, who is an outspoken Gunners supporter was clearly disappointed as Arsene Wenger’s men dropped vital points against their north London rivals.
Wenger’s side took the lead in the first-half when Spurs centre-back Kevin Wimmer converted into his own net just before the break.
But the returning Harry Kane, who has now scored five league goals against Arsenal converted from the penalty spot after half-time when Laurent Koscielny fouled Moussa Dembele.
This clearly frustrated Morgan, who posted this message on his personal Twitter account shortly after the full-time whistle:
Arsenal are third in the league table with 24 points from 11 games, one point behind leaders Chelsea who thrashed Everton 5-0 on Saturday evening.
However, they could drop down one place by the end of the afternoon, if Liverpool beat Watford at Anfield.
Meanwhile, Spurs remain in fifth place with 21 points as they are still unbeaten in the league, but they have recorded six league draws out of 11 games.
In other Arsenal team news, supporters on Twitter hailed Granit Xhaka’s performance in the north London derby.
