Piers Morgan has revealed on Twitter that he is “warming” to Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi.
The German international moved to the Emirates in the summer and has settled well alongside team-mate Laurent Koscielny.
Mustafi, 24, has helped the Gunners keep three clean sheets in their last three matches across all competitions.
The centre-back looked assured in Sunday’s 1-0 win against Burnley and is set to continue at the heart of the defence alongside Koscielny for the foreseeable future.
Morgan, a big supporter of the Gunners and regular social media user posted on his personal Twitter account that he has been pleased with the performances of Mustafi since his arrival.
Manager Arsene Wenger has favoured Mustafi ahead of alternative options Rob Holding, Gabriel and the injured Per Mertesacker.
Mustafi is developing into a crucial member of the Arsenal squad and has now linked up with Germany for the international break.
The defender left Valencia in the summer and made 81 appearances for the Spanish club.
He previously made one senior appearance for Everton during the earlier stages of career and has returned to England an improved player.
Arsenal currently sit third in the Premier League table and are just two points behind current league leaders Manchester City.
In other Arsenal news, Jamie Carragher insists that the club have a huge decision to make at the end of the season.
